Biografía.

Dr. Jaime Mora Vargas is a distinguished researcher and professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he currently serves as National Director of Professional Impact Graduate Programs at the School of Engineering and Sciences. With over 20 years of expertise in Complex Systems and Operations Research, he specializes in transportation and logistics applications.

Dr. Mora holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Engineering from Universidad AutónomaMetropolitana and a Ph.D. in Engineering (Operations Research) with honors from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. His research focuses on developing hybrid algorithms combining classical optimization with advanced artificial intelligence methods for solving combinatorial problems, particularly in humanitarian logistics and disaster prevention. He is a Level 1 member of Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNII), a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and Computing, and former president of the Mexican Association of Logistics and Supply Chain. In 2022, he edited the book "Humanitarian Logistics from the Disaster Risk Reduction Perspective: Theory and Applications." His academic contributions include over 40 articles in high-impact JCR-indexed journals and the successful supervision of 13 master's theses and 10 doctoral dissertations.

Previously, Dr. Mora served as Software Development Director at Adaptive Technologies, where he led the development of "Adaptrader Advantage," an artificial intelligence system for stock market price prediction.
